Hello, My name is Mary. I am looking for someone to become a partner with me or someone who can help me finacially. I am a owner of a beauty supply. I recently ran this business as the manager for 5 1/2 years. In August of last year the then owner announce to me that she would be closing the store for personal reasons. I was devastated. The community that I lived in is a small town with about a population of about 15000 people. The store offers beauty supplies, wigs, professional cosmetics, clothing, color contact lenses and alot more. The store has a good reputation and has loyal customers. The problem is that when the previous owner told me she was going to close, I decided to take over the business. I have never owned a business before and to be honest, I didn't have no ideal what I was getting myself into. But with the grace of God and plenty of praying, I made the decision to become a business owner. I knew of two women who was also interested in opening a business. I approuch them about the ideal I had and they decided to go in business with me. With that taken care of, I told the previous owner that I would like to buy the business from her. She was very excited for me. So with $5000.00 that I had save I brought all of her inventory. The new business partners and myself open the store on September 1, 2006 (Grand Opening day) On February 1, 2007 the other two partners gave me a 30 day notice informing me that they were pulling out. One partner left because she was moving out of town and the other partner left because she thought the business would be sucessful over-night without having to be dedicated to this business. I would like to continue this business as it is a great access to the community. The problem is I don't have the funds to maintain. I spent all my $5000.00 saving on inventory hoping that within a year I would start seeing the profits. Now I am without any finacial help because my other two partners has left, although they signed a 1 year agreement to stay for atleast 1 year. I have 3 grandchildren that I have legal custody of, I am maintaing a safe and happy enviorment for them and paying bills to maintain our home. It is not easy, but I am not ready to give up.
